Rock Island city council and planning meetings moving County Building during renovations

With renovations to Rock Island City Hall set to begin April 1, City Council meetings and study sessions will move into the County Board Room starting Monday. The County Board Room is located on the third floor of the County Office Building at 1504 3rd St. The building is right next to Rock Island City Hall. (Shenandoah) — Work continues to bring an iconic Shenandoah structure back to life. In July of 2022, the Shenandoah City Council approved a resolution of support for MALOJA, LLC’s renovation of the former Johnson Brothers Mill Building at 818 West Sheridan Avenue. Since then, MALOJA owner Margaret Brady and her team have been working to restore the venerable structure for future uses.
