Renovation slated for Confederation Center of the Arts in PEI

CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI—Confederation Center of the Arts in Charlottetown will be revitalized to reduce the facility’s energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. The federal and provincial governments are providing a combined investment of more than $47 million for the project. The renovations consist of upgrades to the heating, ventilation, air conditioning system, the installation of windows, insulation, lighting and meters and control equipment and new solar panels will also be installed. Canada Maltings office in Toronto will undergo restoration, renovation

TORONTO — The Canada Maltings administrative office in Eireann Quay will undergo a major restoration and renovation, converting a disused heritage building on Toronto’s waterfront into a multiuse community cultural arts and conference centre. The project was made possible thanks to an investment of more than $4.5 million from the federal government. It’s also being funded by the Government of Ireland and the Canada Ireland Foundation.
